This month’s BYOBook Club for Busybodies book club meet took place at HS – Green – Galleria and the common thread was hard to ignore.
With a book club intentionally set up for those who are too busy to keep up with assigned readings, the question always is – What are you bringing to the table? Well, January brought in some good reads!
As always, the discussion was insightful, even funny! But by the end of the first round, I couldn’t help but notice the common theme amongst the majority of readers books this month. Although the plots and genres varied, culture and identity, specifically African and Muslim heritage, seemed to be a core thread for all books but two.
